This is a flexible-level role that may be hired as either a People Operations & Employee Experience Manager or Director of People & Employee Experience, depending on experience. The position supports approximately 200+ employees across multiple restaurant concepts in Manhattan, Kansas.
The right person will be comfortable balancing day-to-day HR operations — including ADP Workforce Now, payroll, onboarding support, benefits, employee relations, compliance, policy administration, and manager guidance — with strategic culture work such as employee recognition, retention, training, surveys, manager development, and leadership communication.
This is not a back-office HR role. We are looking for someone who will be visible in our restaurants, connected to our managers, trusted by our teams, and engaged with leadership.

The Human Resources Specialist – Compliance reports to the Director of Human Resources and Risk Management and performs professional and technical work in assigned HR compliance and risk-related programs. Primary responsibilities include ADA coordination, workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, risk and claims coordination, compliance reporting, policy and procedure support, training support, and related records management.
